Firefighting Camp for Girls in Kingston
July 17-20, 2023
Girls in Gear is proud to partner with Kingston Fire & Rescue.
The camp will welcome 30 girls, and those who identify as girls, aged 15-18.
Campers will have hands on training in different skills and divisions of the fire service
ACCESS
to hands on training with firefighting tools and scenarios lead by women in the fire service.
SKILLS
to challenge and empower campers supporting strong teamwork and leadership
INSPIRATION
to be confident and pursue a career in the fire service
Girls in Gear has been developed with no registration fees to ensure that there are no barriers for application.
The mission of Girls in Gear is to introduce girls between the ages of 15 and 18 to the fire service. They will be challenged by the firefighting scenarios and empowered by the opportunities. Campers will learn about all divisions of the fire service.
Girls in Gear welcomes applications from girls and those who identify as a girl.
